Description

Mo’Ju and On Diamond - The spirit of Jazz Party is surprise and spontaneity and you just never know who will show up to play a Jazz Party gig

and has great lead vocals from singer Carol Williams – but there's also strands of jazz

The band would eventually travel to Los Angeles and score a recording contract

showcases Dylan's dynamic reinterpretations of his own songs

the first UK release in any format except as a B-side)

Africa's Blood Arena Rock Mo’Ju and On Diamond -Upon release in 1971, Africa's Blood was the first record Lee Scratch Perry released under his own name, although his band The Upsetters do appear on most of the tracks. If any album serves as a good peak into what was happening in Jamaican music in the early 70s, Africa's Blood is the way to go. There's an undeniable influence from American contemporary R&B, but still Perry's signature dub and reggae fusion shines through.
