There's a general sigh of relief as you review your mana base and you have your lands that are only lands, then a few MDFC lands that are mostly a spell, but a land if you need them

Primal Command is a nice all round card for this deck, it gives longevity to your Birthing Pod and acts as an alternate win condition through being able to deck people in the really long games

Its better in 1v1 games, and its easier to keep on the battlefield than a 2/2 creature
