Overview
The HD-A2 Pneumatic Drum Pump is a high-performance air-operated pump designed for transferring liquids from drums, barrels, tanks, and IBC containers. Compared with lower-output pneumatic drum pumps, the HD-A2 provides higher flow rates and greater delivery head, making it suitable for more demanding industrial fluid transfer applications.
Powered by compressed air, the HD-A2 can be used in applications where pneumatic operation is preferred over an electric motor. Its high-speed pneumatic motor can be combined with different pump tube materials, including aluminum alloy, SS304, SS316L, PPHT, and PVDF, allowing the pump configuration to be selected according to the liquid properties and operating conditions.
The HD-A2 is available in both a standard high-flow version and an HP high-pressure version. The standard version is designed for fast liquid transfer and efficient drum or IBC unloading, while the HP version is suitable for applications requiring increased discharge pressure or greater delivery head.

Multiple pump tube lengths available for drums, barrels, and IBC containers
Flow and operating speed can be adjusted by controlling the compressed air supply
Motor and pump tube can be supplied or replaced separately
Suitable for fast unloading, longer transfer lines, and applications requiring higher delivery pressure
Standard and HP High-Pressure Versions
The HD-A2 is available in two configurations to meet different fluid transfer requirements.
The standard version is designed for applications where high transfer capacity is the primary requirement.
At an air supply pressure of approximately 7 bar, the maximum flow rate can reach approximately 110 L/min, with a maximum delivery head of about 19 m.
At approximately 4 bar, the maximum flow rate is around 60 L/min, with a maximum head of approximately 15 m.
For applications requiring greater discharge pressure, the HD-A2 HP high-pressure version is available.
At approximately 7 bar, the HP version provides a maximum flow rate of around 85 L/min and a maximum delivery head of up to approximately 25 m.
At approximately 4 bar, the maximum flow rate is around 45 L/min, with a delivery head of approximately 15 m.
The standard version is therefore more suitable for rapid liquid transfer, while the HP version is better suited for applications involving:
Longer discharge hoses
Higher discharge points
Greater piping resistance
Applications requiring increased outlet pressure
Pump Tube Materials and Configuration Options
The HD-A2 pneumatic motor can be matched with pump tubes made from different materials to handle a wide range of industrial liquids.
Aluminum Alloy (AL)
Suitable for many general industrial fluids, light oils, and oil-related applications where aluminum is chemically compatible with the transferred liquid.
SS304 Stainless Steel
Provides good mechanical strength and corrosion resistance for a wide range of general industrial fluid transfer applications.
SS316L Stainless Steel
Offers improved corrosion resistance compared with SS304 and is suitable for applications involving more demanding chemical environments or where cleaner wetted surfaces are required.
PPHT Engineering Plastic
Suitable for many acidic, alkaline, and chemical solutions, depending on liquid concentration, temperature, and chemical compatibility.
PVDF
Provides excellent resistance to many aggressive and corrosive chemicals and is suitable for demanding chemical transfer applications.
Pump tube lengths can be selected according to the depth of the container, including:
1000 mm / 1200 mm / 1500 mm
The appropriate pump tube material should be selected according to the liquid name, concentration, temperature, viscosity, specific gravity, and chemical compatibility.
Applications and Suitable Fluids
The HD-A2 Pneumatic Drum Pump is particularly suitable for industrial applications requiring higher flow rates, greater delivery head, or faster container unloading.
Typical applications include:
Chemical processing
Industrial manufacturing
Drum and barrel unloading
IBC liquid transfer
Chemical distribution and handling
Oil and lubricant transfer
Industrial maintenance
Process fluid transfer
Longer-distance liquid transfer
Transfer to elevated discharge points
Depending on the selected pump tube material and wetted components, the HD-A2 can be used for transferring:
Industrial chemicals
Acidic liquids
Alkaline solutions
Light oils
Lubricants
Certain solvents
General industrial process liquids
Liquids from drums, barrels, tanks, and IBC containers
Because different liquids have different chemical and physical properties, the compatibility of the pump tube, shaft, seals, and other wetted components should be confirmed before use.
For correct pump selection, customers are recommended to provide the liquid name, concentration, temperature, viscosity, specific gravity, required flow rate, required head, and container size.
