Overview
HD-A1 Pneumatic Drum Pump is an air-operated industrial fluid transfer pump designed for transferring liquids from drums, barrels, tanks, IBC containers, and similar vessels. Powered by compressed air, the HD-A1 is a practical alternative to electric drum pumps in applications where pneumatic operation is preferred.
The HD-A1 features a modular design and can be combined with pump tubes made from different materials, including aluminum alloy, SS304, SS316L, PPHT, and PVDF. The suitable pump tube material can be selected according to the liquid’s corrosiveness, temperature, viscosity, and actual operating conditions.
The series is available in both a standard high-flow version and an HP high-pressure version. The standard version is suitable for fast liquid transfer, while the HP version is designed for applications requiring higher discharge pressure or greater delivery head.

The HD-A1 combines pneumatic operation, flexible material selection, and a modular structure for a wide range of industrial fluid transfer applications.
Key features include:
-
Air-operated motor powered by compressed air
-
Recommended air supply pressure: 4–7 bar
-
Maximum flow rate up to approximately 70 L/min
-
Suitable for liquids with viscosities up to approximately 700 cP
-

-
Pump tube materials available in AL, SS304, SS316L, PPHT, and PVDF
-
Multiple pump tube lengths available for drums, barrels, and IBC containers
-
Pump speed can be adjusted by controlling the compressed air supply
-
Motor and pump tube can be replaced or supplied separately
-
Suitable for liquid transfer from drums, tanks, barrels, and IBC containers
Standard and HP High-Pressure Versions
The HD-A1 is available in two main configurations to meet different operating requirements.
The standard version is designed for applications where higher flow rate is required. At an air supply pressure of approximately 7 bar, the maximum flow rate can reach about 70 L/min. At approximately 4 bar, the maximum flow rate is about 55 L/min.
For applications requiring higher discharge pressure or greater delivery head, the HD-A1 HP high-pressure version is available.
The HP version provides a maximum flow rate of approximately 50 L/min at 7 bar and approximately 35 L/min at 4 bar, with a maximum delivery head of up to approximately 8 m.
This allows users to select either a high-flow or high-pressure configuration according to the actual application requirements.
Pump Tube Materials and Configuration Options
Different liquids require different wetted materials. The HD-A1 can be equipped with pump tubes in several materials.
Aluminum Alloy (AL)
Suitable for many general industrial liquids and oil-related applications, provided that the liquid is chemically compatible with aluminum.
SS304 Stainless Steel
Offers good mechanical strength and general-purpose performance for a wide range of industrial liquids.
SS316L Stainless Steel
Provides better corrosion resistance than SS304 and is suitable for applications requiring improved chemical resistance or cleaner wetted surfaces.
PPHT Engineering Plastic
Suitable for many acids, alkalis, and chemical solutions, depending on concentration, temperature, and chemical compatibility.
PVDF
Offers excellent chemical resistance and is suitable for more aggressive and corrosive chemical liquids.
Pump tube lengths can be selected according to the depth of the drum or container, including:
1000 mm / 1200 mm / 1500 mm
Final material selection should be based on the liquid name, concentration, temperature, viscosity, and chemical compatibility.
Applications and Suitable Fluids
The HD-A1 Pneumatic Drum Pump is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, including chemical processing, industrial manufacturing, equipment maintenance, oil transfer, fluid handling, drum unloading, and IBC liquid transfer.
Depending on the selected pump tube material and wetted components, the pump can be used for transferring:
-
Industrial chemicals
-
Acidic liquids
-
Alkaline solutions
-
Light oils
-
Lubricants
-
Certain solvents
-
General industrial process liquids
-
Liquids from drums, barrels, and IBC containers
Because different liquids have different chemical properties, customers are recommended to provide detailed liquid information before final model selection. The compatibility of the pump tube, shaft, seals, and other wetted components should be confirmed before use.
